ARC Terms of Service

Effective date: October 31, 2026
Last updated: October 31, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to ARC.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ARC website, personality assessment platform and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By registering for an account, accessing the platform or participating in an assessment, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Service.

2. About ARC

ARC is an online personality assessment platform designed to help individuals explore aspects of their personality through structured assessments.

The platform provides assessment questions, response processing, scoring and calculated results.

ARC is an educational and self-exploration service. It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric or clinical diagnosis.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to register and use the Service.

You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration.

You are responsible for ensuring that your account information remains accurate.

4. User Accounts

Certain ARC features require registration.

You agree to:

  • Provide a valid email address.
  • Complete email verification where required.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Not share your account with unauthorised persons.
  • Notify ARC if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes.

You are responsible for activities carried out through your account, except where unauthorised activity results from circumstances for which ARC is legally responsible.

ARC reserves the right to suspend or restrict accounts involved in fraudulent, abusive or unauthorised activity.

5. Assessment Participation

ARC provides structured personality assessments.

You agree to:

  • Answer assessment questions honestly and independently.
  • Follow the instructions provided during an assessment.
  • Avoid manipulating or interfering with assessment scoring.
  • Not attempt to access another participant's assessment information.
  • Not interfere with platform functionality or security.

Some assessments may be designed to permit only one completed attempt per registered participant.

Where an assessment has been completed and a result generated, the result may be treated as final and immutable within the platform.

ARC may restrict repeated attempts to protect assessment integrity.

6. Assessment Results

ARC calculates assessment results using its defined scoring rules and assessment methodology.

Results are intended for personal reflection and self-exploration.

They should not be interpreted as:

  • Medical diagnoses.
  • Psychological or psychiatric diagnoses.
  • Professional mental health assessments.
  • Guarantees of personal, professional or behavioural outcomes.

Individual experiences and interpretations may differ.

ARC does not guarantee that an assessment result will fully or permanently describe an individual's personality.

7. Group Assessments

ARC may offer group assessment arrangements.

Group organisers are responsible for ensuring that participants understand the purpose of the assessment and are appropriately informed about the handling of their personal information.

Group organisers must not access, distribute or disclose individual participant results without an appropriate lawful basis.

ARC may provide group-related administrative functionality subject to the permissions assigned to authorised users.

8. Fees and Payments

ARC may charge fees for individual and group assessments.

The current indicative pricing structure is:

United Kingdom

  • Individual assessment: £10 per person.
  • Group of 2–5 participants: £8 per person.
  • Group of 6 or more participants: £5 per person.

United States

  • Individual assessment: $15 per person.

Prices may be changed from time to time. The applicable price will be communicated before a purchase or payment arrangement is confirmed.

ARC may maintain payment records, including payment amounts, currencies, dates and transaction references.

Where payment is handled outside the platform, the applicable payment arrangement will be communicated separately.

9. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund requests will be considered in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

We consider cancellation and refund requests fairly, case by case, taking account of your circumstances, including whether an assessment has been started or completed and whether results have been provided. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 18.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

Where digital content or services are supplied immediately after purchase, applicable statutory requirements concerning consent, acknowledgement and cancellation rights will be respected.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, ARC and its licensors own or have permission to use the intellectual property associated with the Service, including:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to reproduce proprietary scoring systems.
  • Sell, license or commercially exploit ARC materials.
  • Remove copyright or ownership notices.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy and on an appropriate lawful basis.

13. Service Availability

We aim to maintain reliable access to ARC.

However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance.

  • Infrastructure failures.
  • Security incidents.
  • Network interruptions.

We will take reasonable steps to restore service when interruptions occur.

  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Prevent fraud.
  • Protect users or the integrity of assessments.

You may request closure of your account by contacting ARC.

Account closure does not automatically require deletion of every record where retention is necessary for legal, accounting, security or other lawful purposes.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Subject to that restriction, ARC will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service where the law permits such limitation.

ARC does not guarantee that assessment results will produce any particular personal, professional or commercial outcome.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be published on the ARC website.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain your agreement.

Continued use of the Service following changes will be subject to the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where the law gives you that right.

Nothing in this section deprives consumers of mandatory protections or rights available under the laws of their country of residence.
